Description

The medal was issued on the occasion of Lajos Kossuth’s 200th anniversary.

The obverse (front) shows the portrait and signature of the great statesman, surrounded by some historical memories related to him.
The reverse (back) of the medal shows the birthplace of Kossuth in Monok, surrounded by depictions of Kossuth in famous historical moments and the Kossuth coat of arms.

For this occasion's 220th anniversary the Hungarian National Museum released a commemorative medal, which was made by our workshop. The medal's diameter is 80 mm, and was made in silver, silver-plated bronze, patinated silver and bronze.
